Pyramid Lake Fishing Reports and Info

Pyramid Lake Description

Pyramid Lake is a desert lake located on Paiute Indian reservation land. A Nevada fishing license is not needed, however a permit must be purchased for fishing or boating on the lake. At 25 miles long and 4-11 miles wide, this is a very large lake that can be quite intimidating to the first time fisherman, however it can be fished similar to many other small stillwaters. It can also be a very demanding piece of water to fish due to the wind and cold. However the rewards definitely more than make up for the elements. Pyramid Lake is home to the Lohontan Cutthroat which grows to epic proportions. Ten plus pound fish are not out of the ordinary and large fish push 20 pounds.
